I am an Encaustic Mixed Media artist. I use refined bee’s wax, Damar Resin and pigment powers mixed together to create Encaustic wax. I love how the molten wax lends itself to a variety of techniques. I use items such as ephemera (assorted papers), found objects, oil sticks and photography embedded within the wax. Some images are covered up and others are revealed, offering just a glimpse of the materials used. My love affair with this ancient medium brings me great joy in the modern 21st century.
